National Day of Prayer Event

The National Day of Prayer is an annual event for Americans to take time to pray for our nation and it’s leaders.  The National Day of Prayer was established in 1952 by an act of Congress requiring the President to proclaim a day of prayer annually.  In 1988, the hundredth Congress passed a bill, signed by President Ronald Reagan, to “provide for setting aside the first Thursday in May as the annual National Day of Prayer.”  Standard Controls is an organization that is committed to prayer seeking the Lord’s face to bring revival to this nation in the marketplace and around the world.  Psalm 27:8

Weekly Prayer Times

Standard Controls encourages employees to participate not only in the National Day of Prayer, but also to weekly prayer times each Thursday morning.  Prayer is essentially the main communication between heaven and earth.  In order for Standard Controls to be a company who follows God's direction it needs to be a company who seeks and hears God's direction through prayer.   Employees come eagerly and voluntarily to this prayer time as we acknowledge the Lord Almighty from where our help comes from praising and petitioning Him for both business and individual needs.  Psalm 121:2

Weekly Bible Studies

Standard Controls makes available to employees a weekly Bible Study time.  Each week employees voluntarily come during their lunchtime to Bible Studies.  The Bible Studies are interactive studies that allow the students to gain a greater understanding of the Bible by discovering for themselves what God says and how it applies to their life today.  This is a powerful resource that allows students to grow personally in their knowledge and application of the Word of God.

All Bible studies and prayer times are voluntary and are not mandatory for employees to attend as a company function.  Employees are encouraged to attend, but are not required.
