Responsibilities for this position include engineering of systems and automation of electrical power distribution systems.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements.
  • Working with sales staff to develop price quotes for projects.
  • Designing hardware/software based control schemes and integration of automated electrical distribution equipment.
  • Specifying and purchasing of hardware/software as required by project.
  • Programming of PLC applications and HMI interfaces.
  • Coordinating with production to ensure satisfactory project completion, on time and within budget.
  • Performing start-up services.
  • Troubleshooting, training and commissioning systems.
  • Providing direct technical support for technicians on issues related troubleshooting and testing.
  • Providing technical sales support.

Requirements, Qualifications, Essential:

  • Experience with critical power i.e.) Telecomm, data center or hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of cogeneration of power and/or paralleling systems.
  • Knowledgeable in computer programming languages (VB, C#, C++, Java script), database design (SQL), HTML development.
  • Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies and hardware.
  • Experience with integrating devices from multiple vendors into packaged solution.
  • Experience with Modicon PLCs and Concept programming software.
  • HMI experience with Wonderware, Intellution, PanelView and Modicon Magelis.
  • Professional Engineer

Travel:

  • Travel to customer sites required. Majority of travel is domestic with occasional international opportunities
